About the Author
Thomas L. Rose was born to Norman and Donna (Hipskind) Rose in Peru, Indiana. He grew up with two younger sisters, Jacquelyn (Rose) Roberts (who has since passed away), and Jill (Rose) England. In 1953, the family moved to Goshen, Indiana, where Tom still resides there today. Tom attended St. John's Parochial School and Goshen High School, where he graduated in 1958. He went on to study at St. Joseph, Ball State, and Goshen College.
In 1962, Tom married Joyce Grissom, and they had a son named Brock in 1964. Brock and his wife, Rose, have a daughter named Amanda (Rose) McMahon, who currently lives in the Goshen area with her husband.
Throughout his career, Tom has worked in advertising and marketing, and he still does today with his son at Rose and Rose Associates. In addition to his professional work, Tom and his wife Joyce also co-authored two cookbooks: Cooking Together Chinese Style and Cooking Together Quick and Easy. They also hosted a cooking segment on the local Fox TV affiliate for 13 years and toured the Midwest teaching cooking classes during that time.
After Joyce passed away, Tom and his son authored a third cookbook called Cooking Together Revisited, which they dedicated to Joyce. Proceeds from the book go to the family's Breast Cancer Support Projects. Tom and his family also produced a YouTube cooking show called Cooking Together Generations to help promote their Breast Cancer Support Projects.
